RAW MATERIAL

The paper of this paper product is made by hand from the bark of the Daphne Cannabina or the Daphne Papyracea. This shrub grows in the Himalayan regions of Nepal between 2500 and 3500 meters above sea level. Locally known in Nepal as "Lokta", the shrub grows again, so that the vulnerable forest ecology of Nepal is sustainably protected.
