For more than 30 years, we have built our relationships based on ethical and environmental guidelines and are guided by Tibetan Buddhist values. Over these many years, the ethics we cultivated as a matter of course also became an important market factor in the West. Fairtrade is for PEMA OF TIBET lifestyle and not just a selling point!
FAIRTRADE BY "PEMA OF TIBET"
In our shopping areas of Nepal and India, the situation can hardly be reconciled with our expectations. It is a long learning process to approach the values and attitudes of these diverse cultures. We have been building and maintaining relationships for more than 30 years, always following the ethical and environmental guidelines that arise from this world, namely Tibetan Buddhist values. Over the past few years, this ethic, which we naturally cultivated, has become an important market factor in the West as well. So today we can say with some pride that PEMA OF TIBET procures most of its assortment in fair production and trade relationships.
The Faircense and SPA fragrance sticks from Pondicherry, South India (Auroville), all felt products and the silver jewelery from Kathmandu, the Nepal paper and the Tibetan and Nepalese smoked utensils deserve special mention. They are manufactured by partners who comply with the Fairtrade Directives with their employees and subcontractors.
CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT OF FAIRTRADE RELATIONS
We try to improve the conditions for fair production in line with local conditions. The affected people should be able to incorporate their needs and values centrally into the processes.
